A hungry child cannot learn. A hungry family cannot thrive. Food insecurity remains one of the most urgent and visible realities in South African communities — and it is one that Wezizwe Foundation addresses directly, consistently, and with dignity.

What we do:
  • Distribute monthly food parcels to vulnerable households facing food insecurity due to unemployment, illness, or hardship
  • Provide nutritional support to ECD centres and children’s homes to ensure children receive adequate nourishment
  • Run school nutrition support programmes so that learners arrive fed and ready to learn
  • Deploy emergency food relief during community crises, natural disasters, and periods of acute hardship
We believe that no family should go to bed hungry while we have the ability to help. This is not charity — it is Ubuntu in action.
