Our Programmes
Every programme we run is guided by one question: what does this community truly need right now?
oUR COMMITMENT TO CHANGE
Wezizwe Foundation’s work is built on four core pillars - Education, Food & Nutrition, Community Development and Health & Wellness. Every programme under each pillar is designed to address a specific, real need in the communities we serve.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We believe in showing up, listening and responding with care, consistency and accountability. As a SARS-approved Public Benefit Organisation with Section 18A status, every donation to Wezizwe Foundation is tax deductible and every rand goes directly to the people who need it most.
OUR FOUR PILLARS

Educational Support
Wezizwe Foundation is committed to removing every barrier that stands between a child and their right to learn.

food & nutrition security
We believe that no family should go to bed hungry while we have the ability to help. This is not charity, it is Ubuntu in action.

community development
Strong communities are built, not born. They are the result of consistent investment in the spaces, structures and support networks that hold people together.

health and wellness
Our health and wellness programmes bring basic care and awareness to those who have been left furthest behind by South Africa’s overstretched public health system

Beyond Matric: Bridging the Gap to Higher Education
Every year in South Africa, thousands of Grade 12 learners achieve the marks to enter university — but never do. Not because they lack intelligence, ambition, or drive. Simply because they cannot afford the registration fee. The textbooks. The accommodation. That financial gap — between a matric certificate and a degree — is where potential goes to die.
Beyond Matric is Wezizwe Foundation’s answer to that injustice. Through bursaries, mentorship, and wraparound support, we walk alongside deserving students from the moment they receive their matric results to the day they graduate. We cover what NSFAS doesn’t, support what families can’t, and believe in what the system has given up on.
